After a week of running the updated matchmaking, my biggest surprise was not the aim level-it was how often aggressive squads punished predictable rotations. I burned through several good kits before accepting that a clean loadout matters less than knowing when to stop looting. Keep useful ARC Raiders BluePrints in mind when planning upgrades, but do not build every raid around expensive gear. A mid-tier kit you understand will usually extract more often than a premium setup you are scared to lose.

Build for the range where fights actually happen

The Renegade remains my safe all-purpose primary because it does not leave you helpless when a fight starts outside your preferred range. Extended magazines are more valuable than most players admit; reload timing gets people killed when a second team hears the first burst. Pair it with a Vulcano for heavier pressure, or carry a Venator or Anvil when you want a quick finishing weapon without committing to another long reload.

The Bobcat is still the better choice for players who deliberately force indoor fights. It clears rooms fast, but it also encourages bad habits: sprinting through doors, chasing damage, and ignoring the angle behind you. The suppressed Ferro setup is less flashy, yet it works brilliantly for solo ambushes. Bring extra Barricades, fire one controlled opening burst, then move before the target's teammate finds your line.

Why good aim still loses raids

Most fair-looking fights are decided ten seconds before anyone shoots. Good players arrive with cover, a retreat path, and enough patience to let another squad reveal itself first. In Hurricane conditions, slow down. Footsteps, reloads, healing sounds, and broken environmental audio travel farther than people expect. I have won plenty of ugly fights simply by crouching behind cover while two louder teams traded ammo and exposed their flanks.

For Duos and Trios, avoid having everyone stare at the same doorway. One player should watch the likely third-party route while another controls the main angle. The caller does not need to be the best shot; they need to say when the team is leaving. A full backpack is not a victory if the extraction path has become a kill box. Around Riven Tides, predictable extraction routes make late rotations especially dangerous, so rotate early or approach from an awkward side.

Stop treating every raid like a maximum-profit run

My resource rule is simple: use cheap kits for information and better kits for planned objectives. Low-stakes raids are where you test attachment combinations, learn sound cues, and practice disengaging without feeling forced to "make the run worth it." Record the fights that frustrate you. Usually the mistake is visible immediately: staying exposed after a knock, looting before checking nearby audio, or taking a fight with no cover behind you.

Do not buy into the idea that every loss requires a bigger weapon next raid. Sometimes a few ARC Raiders BluePrints for sale can support a specific upgrade plan, but smart progression still comes from extracting consistently, protecting your materials, and refusing fights that offer no realistic exit.
